What is a platform, Part 1

There has been some debate in Idaho Republican circles about our conventions, our platform, and other mechanisms observed by the Idaho Republican Party.

I have a lot to say about the subject because even though I agree with the Idaho Republican platform, I have come to understand that it has strayed from its original purpose.

To understand the IDGOP platform, perhaps we should do a deep dive into how it has evolved. Let’s begin with The Republican Party Platform of 1898:
